BERNARD KAHN  
Of Silver Spring, MD passed away February 6, 2011. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Bernie lived his life to the fullest. He retired after 36 years of working for the government and spent his remaining years as a picture framer, President of NARFE, President of the Jewish residents at Leisure World, caring family member, curious traveler and active member of his resident community. Always taking on life with a positive outlook, Bernie was an extraordinarily friendly and kind man who will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Penny, two daughters, Marla(Norman)and Leora (Nate) his son, Bruce (Pat) and three grandchildren and his sister, Bernice. The funeral will take place at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home (11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring) on Tuesday, February 8 at 12:30 p.m., with interment immediately following at King David Memorial Gardens. Shiva will be observed at Leisure World on Tuesday and Wednesday.
