Bernard Wolfson Obituary
Peacefully at home, on Thursday, December 8 2005. Husband of Carolyn N. Wolfson; father of Andrea W. Binder and Sherry L. Hancock; grandfather of Erik Binder, Eileen Wheeler, Nick, Brynne and Jaclyn Hancock; brother of David Goodman and the late Irvin A. Wolfson. Also survived by a dear sister-in-law Ruth Wolfson, and many, many relatives and dear friends. A celebration of Bernie's life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity. Inquiries may be directed to Advent Funeral Services, 703-241-7402.

Bernie was a dear friend of our family. When I was a boy of twelve, I had occasion to accompany Bernie on a shopping trip to procure materials for a small project at his home in Chevy Chase. He knew that I aspired to be an architect, and when he spotted a used book store along our route, Bernie pulled into the first available parking space, and minutes later I was the proud owner of "Engineering Drawing" by Thomas French, the ultimate draftsman´s manual. Such thoughtfulness was typical of our friend. As was a keen wit, and a sharp mind. There are few men from whom you can learn from just by observing. Bernie was such a man. I am only sorry that my own sons couldn´t have known him.
May God grant Bernie eternal rest, and perpetual light shine upon him.
