On Thursday, May 12, 2005, BEVERLY T. BACKUS of Bethesda, MD. Beloved wife of Robert Coburn Backus. Also survived by loving children who include, Byron Torwelle and Robley Dean Backus and loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her brother. Memorial service at Grace Lutheran Church, 4300 16th St. N.W., Washington, D.C. on Saturday, May 14, at 2 p.m. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Hospice Society, 1355 Piccard Dr., Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20850 or Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad, 5020 Battery Lane, Bethesda, MD 20814. Arrangements by COLLINS FUNERAL HOME.
