Brandon Strong Obituary
Formerly of Fairfax, VA, passed away on October 6, 2005. He is survived by parents, LeNorman Strong and Bernice King-Strong; sisters, Carmen Strong and Adrienne Strong; grandfather, Rev. R.B. King and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. A public service will be held at W.T. Woodson High School on December 3, at 4:30 p.m. in Cafeteria A. A reception will follow afterwards at Brion's Grille, 10621 Braddock Rd.

I wish you were here so I could talk to you about all the things I am trying to accomplish. You always listened to me and made me feel like I could do anything. I think of you daily. I only think in terms of missing you for a while. You are just away for a short time. All of us that believe in Jesus' ransom will be together again. I don't weep as much now and I can laugh more about the funny things you all did as kids and the summers that we would all get our kids together. I know that we were all richly blessed by your life here on earth. You and your sisters are just like my own children and I love you dearly. Rest in Peace.

Brandon is in a better place. Certainly, he left us way too early, however, it was just in time for Jesus. Take solace in knowing that God makes no mistakes and our Redeemer Lives. So he came to take Brandon to serve as one of his Heavenly Angels much sooner than we wanted. Draw upon the words of our Heavenly Father when it seems that your loss is just too much to bear. Remember he said that "he would not put more on us than we can bear." I know that you truly believe that. You will be able to carry on with God's help.

Christmas will be a little different this year. You won't be there to help me eat my lobster, or introduce me to a new beer I have never heard of. I miss not being able to wash your hair or just sit, talk and laugh, but I kow that you are where God needed you to be and I feel your spirit with me everyday. Your sisters are honoring your memory in such a way that would make you so proud of them....We all know it will be hard for them,as well as for your mom and dad,at Christms,but the"Love Bond" between you guys and knowing you're home with Jesus will ease the pain. I have a lot of memories of Brandon as a little boy. I used to babysit Brandon, Carmen and Adrienne. Brandon always found ways to amuse himself. my favorite memory has to be when he would be at our house. My mother used collect oriental designer eggs. These were eggshells with oriental designs. Everytime Brandon would come over he would crack the eggs and he would always be surprised that there was nothing inside. He must have been about two or three at the time. My mother must have bought about a dozen replacements. I want to thank you to Brandon, Carmen and Adrienne because the lessons I learned from the three of you have helped me in dealing with children including my own. Infact my oldest, Michael reminds me a lot of Brandon. So thank you guys. Brandon I miss you.
