I went to law school with Brian and travelled with him between second and third years to London for summer school in International Law.
Brian was a gentleman. He was the least egotistical person I've ever met in my life.
In London, we were walking through the subway station, a small man was using a phone booth. A much
larger man went into the booth and started punching
the smaller one. Brian immediately got right in the middle of it and broke it up.
He had courage to do the right thing and never boast that he did.
We kept in touch over the years but sometimes there would be six months or so without contact. I just heard of his passing, about five days ago.
Brian gave everybody respect. Respect flowed back to him. I miss him.
