Survived by children, Dwynn (Ramar), Deborah and Donald (Dorrie) Barr; sister, Victoria Thomas; two brothers, Al and Truman Graham; four grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Visitation 10 a.m., Service 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 5 at First Baptist Church of Beltsville, 4700 Odell Rd., Beltsville, MD. Services by J.B. JENKINS.

Candis, when I was four or five you taught me to read and write and I bacame a college professor and dean. My love for education was fostered by you. Candis was a wonderful and thoughtful employee. She did her job cheerfully and well and certainly has been and will continue to be missed in our office. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. Her passing was much too premature.

She was a good co-worker to me and one of the few I would entrust with personal issues. I wish there were more people like her.

Dear family,
Candis and I worked together for what seems like a life time. She is a dear friend who I felt that I have always known. Her passing will leave a space in my life for one can never replace a sister. Her ways were filled with acts of kindness, sound advice, and always her abiding faith that we shared.
