CAROL CHAMBLEE Obituary
CAROL W. CHAMBLEE
Peacefully, on March 23, 2015, at the age of 78. Beloved wife of 58 years to Hugh R. Chamblee; dear mother of Donna, Janet, and Darren; caring mother-in-law of Tom, Tad, and DeeAnn; loving grandmother to Cara, Alaina, Maxwell, Alexander, James, Margaret, Jordan, Kennedy, and Cooper; and sister of Joanne Lackie. Carol, an Alexandria native, has been a resident of Annandale for 42 years, raising her family. A service to celebrate Carol's life will be held on Friday, March 27 at 10 a.m. at Demaine Funeral Home, Springfield. Interment to follow at Fairfax Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Carol's memory to the March of Dimes www.marchofdimes.org.www.demainefunerals.com

There is a beautiful new star in the heavens now! Carol was my companion for many years, poolside at Wakefield Chapel, sharing our lives and a lot of laughs! Little did either of us ever guess that our children, Tad and Janet, would fall in love years later and give Jim and me another wonderful grandchild. She meant so much to those who knew and loved her, imagine how much more she means to God!
