Dr. Flowers was and still is one of the most inspirational African Americans this country has ever seen, a trail blazer for education and a man young men and women can look up too. A man who is the essence of African American Black History... God Bless You Dr. Flowers.

Flowers Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I light a candle in honor of a special man. I never knew about his inspiring background until attending his funeral. I only knew Mr. Flowers from afar as a member of Ebenezer UMC. I remember him as an usher and a member of the Men's Choir. He had to be encouraged to share his awards from the President of the USA with the congregation. I am proud to have known a living legacy of my black history.

Thank you for sharing Mr. Flowers with this nation. He served as a Hero, Mentor, Role Model and Friend. I have been Blessed to have both my sons attend the educational institution bearing his name and know what a great man he was. May God and fond memories of him be ever present during this time.

The family of Maj. Eddie L. Young (DTA-99th Fighter Squadron) offer condolences to the family."Tiger Flowers" affected the lives of many; our family included! My father, now 88, still vividly recounts his first time in the cockpit with "Tiger Flowers"- "Zoooom ... Straight up, snap ... inverted roll … gone!" Memories and legacies live on! High Flight and God Bless sir!

My Prayers got out the the Family, he will truly be missed by the community.I grew up next door to him during the late 60s. He was a kind man always had something positive to say. I truly thank him for helping me get my first job after high school at NASA in Greenbelt. If you met him you was truly blessed.

We pray for the family's strength. We're so proud of Mr. Flowers and what he accomplished. We miss seeing him at church. We're glad we got a chance to visit him several weeks ago when he was at Doctor's Hospital.
