CHARLES TITUS Obituary
CHARLES EDWARD TITUS (Age 79)
Of Arlington, Virginia, passed away October 7, 2018 in the comfort of his home. Thus ended his 10 year fight against lung and bladder cancers. Charles was born in Leesburg, Virginia, on October 5, 1939, the first born son of Elizabeth and Thomas Titus. The family moved to Arlington when he was five. Charles graduated from Washington & Lee High School in 1957, and attended Shenandoah College when it was located in Dayton, Virginia. He spent some years as a plaster and drywall contractor. In 1983 he built Anna Point Marina at Lake Anna which he owned for 25 years. He liked to fish, but was an avid hunter. Surviving Charles are his wife of 57 years, Judith Jackson Titus; their daughter Cynthia Lynn (Jeff) Greenspan; their son Andrew Charles Titus (Megan); and his two grandchildren David Alden Greenspan (Laura), and Jamie Elizabeth Greenspan, the best grands in the world! He is also survived by his dear sister, Patricia Shipman; and his sisters-in-law, Shelby Titus and Elaine Chestnutt; and many nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of his life memorial service held at the Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA on October 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Virginia Hospital Cancer Center.

Charlie was a high school fraternity brother. A great guy, he set me up with my first date in high school. He was a hard worker and must have worked at least 40 hours a week during high school. I am sorry that I lost track of this special fellow!
Just a few weeks ago he attended the Washington-Lee High School 61st reunion
