Charles Zuver Obituary
Charles O. Zuver, Sr.
Passed away on February 14, 2016, at Inova Fairfax Hospital. He was born on October 15, 1932, in New Jersey to George W. and Mary B. Zuver. He spent the majority of his life as a resident of Alexandria, VA. He is survived by his two sons, Charles and his wife Bridget of Los Angeles, CA and Christian and his wife Amy of Leesburg, VA. His long-time partner, Cindy Calhoun; his sister Mary Anne Figel and her husband Chet; grandchildren Connor, Dillon, and Emily Zuver and step-grandchildren Shane and Matt Hanley; niece Mary Jean Day, her husband Brian, nephews Parker and Thayer Day; numerous cousins and beloved friends. His son, Eric, precedes him in death. His marriage to Caroline Chastain ended in divorce.A funeral Mass in celebration of his life will be held on February 26, 2016, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary''s Catholic Church in Alexandria, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Charles'' name to: The Marine Corps Heritage Museum, Quantico, VA or the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (T.A.P.S), Arlington, VA.

We were lucky to have Chuck as our next door neighbor for a decade. What I missed most after we moved last summer were our "stoop" conversations. I always enjoyed talking with Chuck. Our bull dog Ellie May loved Chuck as well! He always had a treat or two for her. God Bless...
