I was out of town at the time of Dan's passing and just learned today of his passing. I remember Danny as a fierce competitor on the soccer field and baseball. I have sons one year older and younger than Danny. Although they attended another high school they always respected Danny's tenacity and good natured spirit on and off the field. A terrible loss to all that knew this couragous young man!

Waegs,
I remember when you first came to Wagner and were our new assistant coach. We had it so easy with practice before you came... and then you actually made us work hard and wake up at 6 am. As much as we hated it and used to give you a hard time, it was the best thing you could have done. You were one of the best coaches I had and I'll never forget that cheesy, goofy laugh of yours. Just remember--you may have been a better putter than me but you will never out-drive me. When we do meet again, I look forward to beating you by 5 on heaven's golf course even though you will have had plenty of practice. Oh, and taking your money at the poker table. I've still yet to take off my green bracelet in almost 4 years, even to shower. Rest well Waegs, you will be missed by more people than you know....

I know my mom already posted something, but I felt the need to also write something. Dan was such an amazing guy, I remember in high school, he was always in the stands cheering me on in bball. He was always such a caring and giving person. Someone who once you met you know your life was blessed b/c he was part of it. He not only touched my life but many others. You are all in my prayers.

Dear Waeger Family,
The world is definitely a better place because Dan was here. I know my class was a better class because Dan was in it. He was a kind, well mannered middle school student who went on to do more in his short life than most do in 70 years.
Take courage and know that he is in a place where there is no suffering or pain only love and peace.
Please know you are all in my prayers and thoughts especially Holly and Bobby. I have so many fond memories of all the Waeger children I taught at St. Theresa's.
Love and prayers,
Cathy Wall, Bob Wall & Maria (Wall)Small

Waeger family,
I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel while playing golf with his Father and he left quite an impression on me. With all the things that were going on in his life he had nothing but positive things to say and was also quite the golfer. He was a very strong individual and I know he will be sorely missed by his family and especially his father. My condolences to all of Daniel's family and friends.

Dearest Waeger and Rodgers families,
Danny will always be remembered as a young man full of life, who shared his best during the worst of circumstances. He accomplished more in his 26 years of life than most do in a lifetime. I hope my sons grow up to be half the man that Danny was in his young life. You will all remain in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you.

Dear Waeger Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Danny's passing. I spent a lot of time with your family when Danny was very young. I recently came across a picture of Danny with a huge smile. He was probably only about 5. That is the way I remember him. The last time I saw Danny I was a substitute teacher. He was in eighth grade and quite popular with his classmates! From all that I have read it seems as if he went on to be an amazing young man. What an inspiration to so many of us!
I am thinking of all of you during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Jenna Travitz (Reynolds)
