DAVID B. BASHORE (Age 89)
Formerly of Annapolis, MD passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the Asbury Retirement Community, Solomons, MD. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 6 to 8 p.m. at LEE FUNERAL HOME, CALVERT, P.A., 8125 Southern Maryland Blvd., (Rt. 4 and Fowler Rd.) Owings, MD, where services will be held on Wednesday, February 21 at 10 a.m. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. David Bryant Bashore, the son of the David and Minerva (nee Iceman) Bashore. He was born on March 19, 1917 in Annville, PA. Following active duty in the U.S. Navy from April 21, 1937 until April 20, 1941, David worked at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA from 1941 to 1946. During this time, he met and married Lucille Grace Knalls in 1942. In 1946, David transferred to the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, where he worked as a Engineering Technician in Upper Air Research Physics until he retired in 1972. David also served in the U.S. Naval Reserve from 1946 to 1966, retiring as a Navigation's Senior Chief Machinist Mate. David was a member of the Seat Pleasant Masonic Lodge #218, AF&AM, Royal Arch Masons, Scottish Rite, Almas Temple and Veterans of Foreign Wars. In his retirement years, David pursued his life long love of photography and traveled frequently throughout the United States and the world. He also pursued an interest in real estate as an agent and broker with Stan Ridgeway Realty in Prince George's County and Champion Realty in Annapolis, MD. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Paul Bashore. He is survived by his wife, Lucille; children, Connie Bieber, Ruth Bashore, Bryan Bashore, Nancy Jones, Gail Bashore and Conrad Bashore; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

"daddy-o". What a great man with a wonderful personality!!! I know that I MUST be a better person for have knowing such a terrific guy.
