David Deeb Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing and final dance of David A. Deeb, who passed away on May 20, 2025 at Fairfax Hospital.

David was born on March 18, 1941 in Canonsburg, PA to the late Mary and David Deeb. He attended Butler area public schools graduating in 1961. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1965 at Pennsylvania State University, later pursuing graduate studies in Engineering at the University of Maryland.

In 1968, David met the love of his life, Rita. Who knew that a simple invitation to dance would spark a love story lasting 56 years? But it did.

David's many passions included relaxing at the beach, tinkering with VW bugs, meticulously maintaining his lawn, cheering on the Steelers and Penn State, sipping fine bourbon, dark beers, attending Springsteen and Buffett concerts and enthusiastically supporting his children's and granddaughter's sporting events. David's relationship with his children and grandchildren was admired by many. Whether it was dinners out or heartfelt conversations, travelling to field hockey tournaments, he cherished every moment and nourished every bond. A devoted husband who supported all of his wife's volunteering even while relegated to being on the cleanup committees. David was the irreplaceable rock of his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rita of Fairfax; his son, David, III of Leesburg; and daughter Kelly (Mark) of Leesburg. He also leaves behind his brothers, Charles (Kathy)of Mentor, OH; and Anthony of Denver; his treasured granddaughters. Jadyn Lovelace (Tyson), Gillian Deeb, and Alexandra Statz; and his great-grandson-Bowen Lovelace.

Services private. David will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

My sympathy to Rita and David's children. I'm sure the loss of David is immense.
I met David in Jr. High. He was just the nicest guy! Treated everyone with kindness. You could see he really enjoyed the reunions. His high school friends meant alot to him. I don't think anyone could say a bad word about him. He will be missed.

Rita and family, It is with sadness that I express our condolences on the passing of Dave. We meet in first grade at West End School and always looked forward to the class reunions to see all of our West End classmates. He was a great guy. Our best wished to you and your family. God Bless.

I will always remember Dave as a great guy from the first I met him in Jr High. He remained a friend of mine throughout our High School years. Although with little contact over the years, it was always such special and treasured moments to me to talk with him at Class Reunions.
I was happy to meet Rita. Such an exemplary couple!! And I am so sorry for you and your family´s loss, Rita.
So regret that I never got to meet my dear friend at a Buffet concert.
