David Nies Jr. (Age 83)

David Thomas Nies, Jr. passed away Monday December 4, 2023 in Centreville, MD. He was born on March 26, 1940 in Baltimore, MD to the late David and Elizabeth (Nee Polanka) Nies. David is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Joanna. He is also survived by his beloved children, David Nies, III. (Tammy), Linda Gagnon, Michael Nies (Jennifer), and Diane Scaggs (Steve); and his cherished grandchildren: Haley, Jack, Bodie, Savannah, Summer, Jack, Charlie, Kayci, Steve, Jr., and Christian.

A visitation will be held on Thursday December 7, 2023 at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home 408 S. Liberty St. Centreville, MD 21617 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, December 9, 2023 11 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Homewood Avenue, Centreville, MD 21617. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
