Chris: I just learned of Dave's passing and I am deeply saddened to learn of it. I liked him immensely and always greatly enjoyed his company and the times we visited in your old home in Poolesville in the 80's. Words fail at a time like this, but I still want to extend my compassion and sympathy to you and the family, but esp. to you because I know it is really hard for you right now. I have prayed to God for Dave and have asked Him to help you most of all. From Dave's old friend and fellow lover of all things Civil War and more. Karl E. Sundstrom, N. Riverside, Illinois.
