I am not sure if anyone from the family will read this but I am just finding out about Denise's passing. We grew up together on 7th st in NW DC. I was a little older than Denise, my brother michael was the same age as Gail, my brother Alex was the same age as Beverly and my sister Diane was the same age as Ronald. We are the Williams family. ON behalf of all of us, I extend deepest condolences to the entire Patterson/Graham family. I so remember our days playing as children and sorry that we all lost contact once the city made us all move to build the school on our block. I pray for peace for your entire family! Stay safe and peace to Denise now that she has transitioned!

I miss Denise so much. She had a smile and a sense of humor that is sorely missed by many. I will always hold in my heart the joy that Denise brought when the Anacostia Alumni Class of 1970 had meetings and did candy sales. Love you always Denise!❤❤❤❤

I just heard of the passing of Denise
Patterson. We met over 40 years ago @ Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church. Denise always had a quick smile with a warm and friendly spirit. I remember when my Dad was instrumental in starting the bus ministry there Denise brought and sent her son Jay for Sunday School and for his spiritual upbringing. I've visited PABC a few times since I left years ago, yet each time I saw Denise she still had that sweet spirit and warm smile. Jay, I know you don't remember me, but if you remember Deacon William Watson, I'm his son. I'll keep you and your family lifted up in prayer and never forget, your Mom loved the Lord and she is with him now, your heart will ache for her Brother, yet please let it comfort you that she is in the presence of the Lord and other saints. God doesn't make mistakes, he loves you, your children and he loved your beautiful and wonderful mother best; you will see her again one day. God Bless you !

What can I say about a dear friend who I met over 40years ago at the IRS. Though we did not see each other on a regular basis our friendship remained stable. I remember Jay when he was a little boy. Always a delight to his Mom. I will miss you Denise. I admired how you handled your illness Your strength gave me strength to handle my own. Rest in peace Dense.

Denise was a true FRIEND. I will truly miss her smile at our Anacostia Alumni Class of 1970 meetings. I will especially miss her coming to my house to pick up candy to sell because I would always try to get her to take more. She would just laugh and say, "no, this is enough," but, would always end up coming back for more candy. Even through sad times like these, loved ones may leave us, but love stays with us forever. May God continue to bless the family. I just thank God for the good times that were spent with Denise. I love you Denise!

I first met Denise in 1991, I was an new employee to IRS, she was very welcoming. As the years passed I became an apart of the extended family. Then I beecame apart of her family. I will always cherish these memories. We became travel partners, among other things, she was the best Travel partner, ever! There are far too memories to express or to share, but know I will always reflect on our times together. There are far to many memories to express... but just know that she always hold a special part of my heart until we meet again! I Love You and will miss our (Marathon) conversations. You always keep it Real even though you're from DC...like we Do in NJ. I Love You!

I was thinking about when I first met Denise over 30 years ago. She was selected for a Special Emphasis Black Manager position that I once held. Denise was truly a servant and was always helping and providing information to people. She was a go to person and a great resource. She possessed a quality that is very hard to find nowadays. Denise will truly be missed but I celebrate her life and thank God for the time we spent together. I will pray your strength in the Lord during your bereavement. To God be the glory!

My deepest and heartfelt prayers are lifted to our Father in Heaven on behalf of the entire Patterson family during this very sad time. My heart is so heavy. Nesee wasn't just my best friend, she was my sister in Christ, confidant, prayer partner, financial advisor, travel buddy and many other wonderful things. My heart goes out to her grand children, whom she loved with every fiber of her being. No matter how much I will miss her physical presence, I have so many wonderful memories of our 40 year friendship. Jay, you and your children know that you can always count on me, that will not change. I love you all. Auntie*
