When I read of Dinah Cohen's passing in the recent CAP newsletter, Life took a pause with mixed emotions. On one hand I remembered her fondly, while on the other hand I was greatly saddened to learn the news. Dinah helped me get my first job at the Naval Research Laboratory in 1984, through the Schedule A hiring authority. I have always viewed her as a wise human resource counselor and friend. Years later at an EEOC Annual Conference in Washington DC, we bumped into each other after her great tour spearheading DoD's CAP. At that time, I had been assigned as a disability program manager as a collateral duty, and we exchanged contact information. Dinah was once again my wise mentor and friend. Heaven just gained a truly honorable and blessed angel. She shall be missed and forever admirably remembered. xo

I worked with Dinah for many years. She was a force of nature and a wonderful person. I shared a 45 minute subway ride with her once, talking the whole time about everything! The country will miss her.

Dinah was such a special person. I have known her since high school and even then she was an inspiration to everyone. She always had a smile on her face and always saw the positives in life. She will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Half of a great couple is gone but never forgotten. Dinah was a bright light to all of her friends, even ones far away who didn't cnnnect often enough, and to the wider circle she touched personally and professionally, That light will keep on shining. Will think about her and the past good memories.

In the words of Terry Pratchett, ...No one is actually dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away...The span of someone's life, they say, is only the core of their actual existence.

Dinah will be missed by so many. She was an incredible individual who made such a difference to everyone she met. I am so thankful for the opportunity I had to hear her give an inspirational guest presentation in my class and for all of the other times I was lucky enough to be with her. Dinah will always remain one of the noblest, kindest, most wonderfully enthusiastic people I'll ever know. The world was a far better place for having her in it.
