DONALD DeROZE Obituary


DONALD GRIFFITH DeROZE  "Deacon Don DeRoze"  
On Tuesday, August 4, 2015 of Silver Spring, MD. Don worked for the Department of Defense for 33 years, focusing on foreign military intelligence and he retired in 1991. In 1986, Don was ordained a Catholic deacon for the Archdiocese of Washington, serving at the Church of the Resurrection in Burtonsville, MD. He and his wife Linda were married for 46 years. In addition to being survived by Linda, he is survived by their three children, Basil Parker, Mark DeRoze and Kathryn DeRoze Logsdon; eight grandchildren and his brother, Barry DeRoze. For over nine years Don and Linda were co-liaisons to the cardinal for the Catholic charismatic renewal. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, 3315 Greencastle Road, Burtonsville, MD 20866. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Following the burial there will be a reception at Resurrection Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Resurrection for the Parish Life Center. Arrangements by Philip D.
