MOSES, DORIS RIDGLEY

On Sunday, November 7, 2004. DORIS RIDGLEY MOSES. Wife of the late Colonel De Maurice Moses, USA, in Washington, DC. Born in Annapolis, MD and a summer resident of Venice/Highland Beach, MD. She lived in Montclair, NJ for 39 years following a long residence in Washington, DC and New York. A loving mother and teacher, she inspired her family and other young people with wisdom and encouragement to attain personal and educational excellence. She is survived by three children, Dr. De Maurice Moses, Merle Bowser and John Moses, Esq.; eight grandchildren, Belinda Moses, Aubrey Moses, Hamilton Bowser, Jr., Rebecca Lowenthal, Jennifer Bowser, Melanie Moses, Ens. John Moses, Jr., USN and Amy Moses; seven great-grandchildren, Isaac (Moses) and Anna Laura (Moses) Kastama, Nicholas, Julia and Jonathan Lowenthal and Samuel and Jakob Moses. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 30 at 12 Noon at McGUIRE FUNERAL HOME, 7400 Georgia Ave., N.W., Washington, DC followed by services at 1 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Banneker-Douglass Museum, 84 Franklin St., Annapolis, MD 21401
