Dorothy Thornton Obituary

Peacefully at her home on Friday, August 23, 2024, Dorothy Lee Thornton of 743 Hobart Place NW departed this life to be with the Lord. Beloved mother of Thomas E. Thornton, who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her five children, Sharon, Terry, Patricia, James and Anthony. She also leaves to cherish a sister-in-law, Alice Gray, 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren and a host of family and special friends. She will truly be missed.
Funeral Services: Saturday, September 7, 2024, Greater First Baptist Church, 2701 13th Street NW, Viewing 10 a.m.; Service 11 a.m.
