E. King Obituary


E. MARIE KING (Age 99)  
A resident of Homewood, AL died on February 18, 2012. She was born in Johnstown, PA on January 9, 1913 to Alfred and Elizabeth Wallace. Marie moved to Washington, DC in 1941 and began her career in the Federal Government as a secretary. She married Ainslie W.N. King in May 1949 and they settled in Falls Church, Virginia. Marie worked her way through the ranks of the government becoming Chief, Officer Systems Branch. Upon retirement, after 36 years of service, she became very active in the International Toastmistress Club. In 2002 she moved to Alabama.Marie is survived by her daughters; Lani Dill and husband Norton, Holly Thomas and husband Stephen; her grandchildren; Jennifer Polanco, Zachary and Katje Musgrave, Brandon and Elias Rodriguez, Kinsley and Brianna Dill and Graham Thomas; and great grandchildren; Mateo and Gabriel Polanco and Salome, Aliyah and Micah Rodriquez. She is also survived by her devoted caregivers, Debra Bonner and Flossie Canty. A Memorial Service was held in Mouat Chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church on March 3. Interment will be at the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia on March 12 at 9 a.m. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
