Ramona,
I just read about the passing of Mr. Broadnax in the WVSU Alumni posts from homecoming this week. I was shocked and so sadden to hear of such. I could not imagine how I missed hearing of his passing. I would have attended the services. Then I realized I was in preparation/transit to Michigan to be with a sister who had been scheduled for total knee replacement surgery. (I am currently still in Michigan at this time). Ed Broadnax was the face of the Washington, DC-Metro WVS now WVSU Alumni Association for SO MANY YEARS. I told someone Ed may have taken over as president after Waddy passed which was many, many years ago. This is just so sad. You are both such nice, wonderful, good people. My heart has been sadden by Ed's passing. (I had previously called your home to check on you two, too). I know God will hold you and your family in the palms of his hands during this time. You know he is still with you. I hope soon you will be able to smile and laugh through your tears remembering all the good times you two had together through the years--esp. the good times at and for WVS. God bless you and your family. Stay connected and involved with the sorority. Call me if you need a ride to various events sometimes. I will call and leave my number.
