I posted a picture of Ed Healey in 1969 when we all were young teens...I was shocked to see Ed had passed away...I remember him fondly. I did not realize he lived in CP as I do. So sorry we did not get together. My thoughts and prayers are with the Healey family. God bless you Ed. RIP. You will always be remembered as a wonderful person and teen friend.

Refuge Church loved having him come on Saturday mornings to pray with us. His love for his "Brother" Jessie spilled over onto all of us. He was a genuinely nice person and we will miss him. Much love and prayers to Angela and his PRECIOUS son, Edward III.

Eddie was one of the truly good guys. He was about 5 years older than me, and a close family friend. I remember him coming home from high school and stopping in to visit my family. He was always kind and good natured. I was able to reconnect with Eddie a few years ago and he had not changed a bit. I will miss you, you had an impact on me and I will always remember you.

My sincere condolences to the Healey family for the loss of your loved one. May you find comfort in the words of the Psalmist "Throw your burden upon God himself! and he will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to fall". May the one true God sustain you during your grieving process.

I have known "Mr" Healey for many years, he was a great friend to my father Elliott "Tony" Herriott. I remember Mr. Healey and my father lifting that "iron" as they called it faithfully for many years. My heart and prays go out to his wife and son, who we look to as part of our family. Mr. Healey was loved by my family and he will be truly missed. I know that my father will miss those "Big Tony" calls. Rest in peace "Mr." Healey.

My thoughts and prayers are with Eddie's family. When we were much younger, Eddie was a great friend with a huge heart. Although we lost touch, he was unforgettable. I'll always remember his smile and laugh when he'd quote Petey Greene: "I'll tell it to the hot, I'll tell it to the cold...". A gentle spirit, one of a kind: rest in peace, brother.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Eddie's family. When we were much younger, Eddie was a great friend with a huge heart. Although we lost touch, he was an unforgettable character. I'll always remember him quoting Petey Greene famous sign-off "I'll tell it to the hot, I'll tell it to the cold..." with a laugh and a smile as big as all outdoors. A gentle spirit, one of a kind: rest in peace, brother.

Eddie will be missed by many of us. He was a dedicated fighter in the struggle against racism. From fighting the Nazis in Arlington, to stopping the KKK from marching in Washington, to defending Terrance Johnson and fighting police brutality in Prince George's County, Eddie never wavered from his commitment to the anti-racist struggle. I first met Eddie when he was a student at PG Community College in 1972. He joined the Progressive Labor Party at that time and for the next 40 years help build the fight against the inequities of the capitalist system. Comrade Eddie we salute you for a life well lived.
