You served our nation well with honor and distinction both in the Marine Corps and with the Veterans Administration. You and your family graced our neighborhood and it was a pleasure to have known you and your family. You will be missed by my family as well.

Dear Mary and Ed,
I am saddened by the passing of your Father. Families easily grow apart and the years go by too fast. I wish we could have been closer as an extended family. My fondest memory of your Dad was when he gave me my first bike when I was five, it was totally cool! I was so happy to see you all back in 2005, it was truly wonderful. I think you can look back now at both your parents and celebrate the remarkable life they lived.
With love,
Jim
