Formerly Elaine Marcus, of Chevy Chase, MD; beloved wife of the late Charles H. Levine; loving mother of Jordan B. Levine of Washington, DC; devoted sister of Alvin E. Marcus (and the late Audrey) of Glendale, AZ, Robert J. Marcus (Harriet) of Woodland Hills, CA, and the late Betty J. Isaacs (Sheldon) of Louisville, KY; beloved friend of Natividad Salas, loving aunt, cousin and friend to many, died on Monday, July 14, 2014. Mrs. Levine, an educator, was born in Frankfort, Kentucky to the late Lena and Hymmen S. Marcus. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17, at Temple Sinai at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Mrs. Levine received a Bachelor's degree from the School of Business, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, where she met her late husband, Charles H. Levine, who became a distinguished scholar on the public service. Mrs. Levine earned a Master's degree in Business Education from Michigan State University. Her professional life was spent in teaching vocational skills in community colleges and her later years as a training specialist at government agencies as an independent contractor.  From 1978 through the early 1980s, she was an instructor in the Secretarial Skills Center for the Internal Revenue Service. From 1986 until November 2002, she was part of a team that developed, implemented, and administered an individualized self-paced learning center in computer software and business skills for the Employment Standards Administration, U.S. Department of Labor. Mrs. Levine enjoyed genealogy and had been a member of The Jewish Genealogy Society of Greater Washington, as well as the National Business Education Association, Delta Pi Epsilon, Temple Sinai, and Hadassah.  Family will be in mourning and receiving friends at her residence on North Park Ave in Chevy Chase from 5 to 9 p.m. on July 17, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the American University School of Public Affairs for the Charles H.
