Elaine Sheila Shugoll

On Friday, February 24, 2023 Elaine Sheila Shugoll of North Bethesda, MD.

Beloved wife of Dr. Gerald I Shugoll; devoted mother of Wayne and Richard (Deborah) Shugoll; loving sister of Leona Frisch and Alicia Morenberg. Cherished grandmother of Bradley and Jason Shugoll, Lara Lerner, and Anna Shugoll; and great grandchildren Mason and Miles Lerner, and Teddy Shugoll.

Elaine was a local businesswoman. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Queens College, City University of New York. She held many positions in her life including department store buyer, department manager, store manager "Tennis Lady". She was a founding partner of Shugoll Research, as well as Founder and CEO of Adventures Etc. – a guided tour company.

Elaine was also heavily involved in her community. She was on the Board of Directors of Mental Health Association of Montgomery County, Women's Committee at Community Psychiatric Clinic, Host Committee for World Congress of Cardiology (Washington, DC 1986), and the Women's Board for the American Heart Association.

She was an avid golfer (2 holes in one), reader (great books discussion leader, and player.

Grave services will be held on March 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. at King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, VA. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Jssa Hospice.
