ELIZABETH ELLEN METCALF (Age 40)  
Died on May 18, 2012 in Haymarket, Virginia.She was born on March 10, 1972 in San Diego, California to Edward Coleman and Joanne L. (Musashe) Craig.Mrs. Metcalf was a 5th grade teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools and most recently in Prince William County Public Schools. She was an excellent teacher and wonderful mother and soccer coach. She had a love for music and a beautiful voice. Elizabeth was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Gainesville, VA.Surviving is her husband of 18 years, Gene Metcalf of Haymarket, VA; her daughters: Victoria, Sarah, Alexandra and Amelia Metcalf of Haymarket, VA; her parents: Edward and Joanne Craig of Haymarket, VA; two brothers: Edward Craig and wife Patricia of Dale City, VA and Matthew Craig and his wife Anne Ryan of Stephen City, VA and one sister: Helen Anen and husband Bradley of Gurnee, Illinois.The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Stephens the Martyr Catholic Church, 23331 Sam Fred Road, Middleburg, VA with Rev. William Schardt officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Muscular Dystrophy Association, PO Box 78960, Phoenix, AZ 85062-8960 in loving memory of Elizabeth Ellen Metcalf. I was friends with Beth's brother, Eddie, in high school, and knew Beth through him. We lost touch over the years, and I just now heard the news about Beth's passing. Albeit belated, my prayers go out to the entire family.

Dear family I feel very sorry for your lose Ms.Metcalf was a great person. She lived a good long life. She was also a great teacher. She will be missed a lot. Her class said that they are sorry as well. May she rest in peace
