ELIZABETH ANNE MOHR

Elizabeth Anne Mohr (nee FRIEDMAN), passed away suddenly on August 9, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. Liz grew up in Garrett Park, MD. She graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. She settled in Madison, WI, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in sociology. Liz was a loving and compassionate person, well known for her complete devotion to her children, her keen intelligence, her quick wit and humor, her passion for political causes and her courage through times of hardship. She will be deeply missed.

Daughter of the late Edward and late Mary Lou Friedman, formerly of Garrett Park and Truro, MA. Survivors include her beloved children, Leila H. Mohr, of Brooklyn, NY, and Malcolm E. Mohr, of Madison, WI; her loving sister, Maryel Szabat of Potomac, MD; and her loving brothers, Michael Friedman of Oneonta, NY, and Daniel Friedman of Bellevue, WA. A memorial service will be held in Madison at Zion Lutheran Church, 2165 Linden Avenue, on Thursday, September 6, 2007, at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Teresa McGovern Center, 300 Femrite Dr., Madison, WI 53716.
