Elizabeth Rogers Obituary

Was born in Washington, DC in1931 and died on April 24, 2024. She grew up in Northwest Washington attending St. Anne's School, The Academy of the Holy Cross and The University of Maryland. In 1953, she married Robert F. Rogers, also a native Washingtonian, who died in 1989. They lived in Orleans, France and Bethesda, MD.
Elizabeth was a volunteer in St Jane de Chantal and St Bartholomew parish activities as well as at So Others Might Eat, Mt. Carmel and the Bethesda Men's Shelter. She was also an active tennis player and golfer for many decades at Kenwood Country Club. Elizabeth enjoyed travelling the world visiting dozens of countries over the years. She loved to share her travel adventures with her family and her friends especially those in her French Luncheon group.
She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Orfalea (Greg) and her sons Christopher (Nalini) and Timothy (Ellen), eight grandchildren and two great grand children.
She will be interred at Gates of Heaven Cemetery at 12 noon on June 4 her 93rd Birthday. Followed by a reception at Congressional Country Club.

Condolences to Eileen, Chris and Tim for the loss of their mother. Aunt Elizabeth was the soul of kindness to me. She was fun, humorous, and always interesting! I enjoyed her travel stories, which were an inspiration to me. Rest in peace!
