Elter Taylor Obituary
ELTER LEE TAYLOR
Peacefully on July 21, 2007 early in the morning, Momma passed on into God's arms at the age of 84. Elter was born on September 11, 1922 to the late Addie and Jessie Duckworth in Summerland, MS. Elter lived her life in the Washington, DC area. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bernice Taylor and grandson, Darryl Taylor. She leaves behind to cherish her memory one sister, Evelena Ruff; two daughter, Elsie and Dorothy Taylor; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Viewing on Friday, July 27, 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 2021 Rhode Island Ave., NE. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements by LATNEY'S.

Mamma was wonderful great-grand mother to me. She showed me a lot of love, she also shared a lot of wisdom and knowledge with me.

Ms. Elter always had a special place in my heart and I was sadden to hear about her death. Knowing Ms. Elter I know she is making a joyful noise to the Lord.

I have fond memories of Ms. Elter; especially on her delicious home cooked pies.
