A native of McAdoo, PA and a resident of Summerdale, AL, died Thursday, June 12, 2003. A graduate of William & Mary, Eric received a bachelor of science degree. There, as captain of the Tribe's football team, he received all Southern Conference honors as an offensive guard and a defensive nose guard. He was also president of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. At George Washington University, he received a Masters in Education. Mr. Erdossy honorably resigned his commission as a Captain in the U.S. Army Infantry. He was active in Northern Virginia community organizations and politics. He was a former president of the Virginia State Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Erdossy was a longtime resident of Arlington, VA and former President of First American Bank of Virginia. He is survived by six sons, Eric Garth, Neill B., Nathan, Tim and Jamie Erdossy and Shean Sarver; four daughters, Linda Erdossy, Laura Erdossy Kelly, Leslie and Stephanie Sarver; one brother, Alfred J. Erdossy; two sisters, Andrea Evanick and Judi Erdossy-Durso; and 14 grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, June 13 in Fairhope, AL. we were saddened to hear of Eric's death. We had a lot of fun and good memories of Eric. His two sons are fine examples of what a fine human being Eric was. Life at the end was not kind to him. We hope now he is at peace. sincerely, jeannie and terry lindsay
