EUGENE J. JONES, III, "Tre"
Age 16. Suddenly on July 27, 2007, God called his angel home. Beloved father of Alonte; loving son of Calvin Adams and Cynitha J. Jones; brother of Cindy Jones. He is also survived by his grandmother, Mildred Jones; great-grandmother, Cynthia S. Jones; other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Saturday, August 4, 2007 from 9 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. Holy Christian Ministry Baptist Church For All People, 5110 Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave., NE. Interment Lincoln Memory Cemetery. Arrangements by POPE.

Wow! Here we are in 2024, and I still think about you often. You impacted my life, and I am forever grateful to have met you. You were always great energy, kind, and very protective of me. I will hold you in my heart forever. I can still hear you yelling "Ayyyyyyyy" across the middle to get somebody's attention (IFYKY). You are forever loved and forever remembered. I love you.

Hey Fam,Dad,mom,jones. I love you still and we all wi kidsh you here with us. When i get in trouble i for some reason,I think of you. When i think of you,I always cry and Grandma puddin crys to. Im suprised that we started from me being 4 months and a couple of days old when you died But since i was a baby i really was not old enough,now im 10 years old and a smart kid. Not a day goes by when I don't stop to think about you, the times we had, and all the trouble we would have probably gotten into. It seems like I'm in a very bad nigtmare that is never gonna end. I wish that I could turn back the hands of time to have you here on earth with me. I think I speak for the whole family "Tray you are missed and not a day goes by that someone does not mention your name and what an impact you made in their lives.

Hey Trey,
It seems so unreal that you are not hear. It sadden me that my daughter won't have the pleasure to fully experience your warm smile and heart to match. I can say this from the heart, you have always treated Jekayla just like you treated your niece and nephews. We will all miss you, but God only takes the best. Remember Uncle Tiny can now teach you the art of being an angel. I now expect the two of you to watch over the family from up above. I love you and not even death will change that.

I Love u sooo much and I'm going to miss you terribly it seems like it was just yesterday when you asked me to make you breakfast. I'm going to miss the days you would come up my house and chill and we would wrestle and be joning on eachother. I going to miss your big head and little body lol always outside without no shirt on. I'm going to miss giving you hugs and knocking on your door asking you 4 hair supplies lol. On the day you left this earth we was planning on chilling the next day and then this happens to you. From the day that you were born, I knew that we would always be together. Known life as I how it has come to a stand still. I look around hoping to see your pretty smile. All the times we shared. You had truely matured into my "BIG BROTHER", taking on the responsbility of being the man of the house, father to your niece and nephews, all and all being my best friend. I want you to know that I am proud of you standing up being the man that I always knew you could be. It will be hard with out you but you are in a much better place.

Dear Mildred,
I am very sorry for the lost you have came upon. We all loved him and he meant something to everyone he knew. Why it was him ? I do not know but God called him and this was the way he took him from us. A good thing is he is in a better place now, in heaven, and some day you will be up there with him. Don’t be upset because for 16 years you have loved and cared for him like he was your son. Throughout those 16 years he had been a blessing to us. Think of it this way, he died without suffering. You might not of thought of this but you would’ve rather him just pass then for him to suffer all the pain he was in. Be thankful you still have Cindy and her kids. I love you very much and this is hard for me too because he was just like a cousin to me for you are like a second mother.

"TRE" you will be missed I watched you over on Shady Glen Drive run around outside just being a li'l boy and I saw you blossom into a handsome young and respectful man, you mother loves you and so does your sister I remember you waiting on my front until I came home asking if I needed help with my groceries when you were a little boy and you were always well mannered and dressed to the NINE. To your mother I know that this is a big lost and in time God will heal you just PRAY and keep the faith and GOD will answer your prayers there are going to be some difficult days but just think of all the good days and smiles that your son that you raised so well has brought alot of sunshine and smiles to alot of people old and young he will be truly missed and I will always remember the close knit family on Shady Glen in Capitol Heights if one kid did something we were all there no matter who's child it was we all raised eachother's but times have changed. I will keep you and your family in my prayers....

i have known you for a lifetime it seems. And in all of those years knowing you, i loved every moment of it. I miss all of the times that you would come over my house and just stay there all day until my mother got home just so that you could see her, or you walking around with your raw oodles and noodles(they had to be beef)... or just seeing you grow into a wonderful young man. tre, we all love you and will miss you so very much.
