TO: Jean, Kenneth & Family --
May The Holy Comforter that dwells within each of you sustain you with His goodness during this difficult moment. Brother Proctor was a kind and gentle man who always had a smile when you greeted him in any venue. He loved the Men's Rites of Passage (ROP) Program for all of the "good works" in the Name of The Lord that are being performed by many volunteers, and its impact on Kenneth and other ROP proteges.
Kenneth, it is important that you honor your Grandfather by putting forth your best effort in all that you do, and embracing those fun and loving times that you shared together. We look forward to your going to South Africa -- a trip deferred -- next year to share The Word with our brothers and sisters in this distant land.
And Jean, the ROP Guardian and Parents' Council still needs your wise counsel and tireless work on behalf of the young men and women in the Church. We promise to keep a smile on your face and continue to have fun in serving The Lord. Although your mate has gone on to Glory, know that his loving spirit remains in you and loving memories you shared together will forever be etched in your mind while on this earthly realm.
Always remember that your Church family loves you! Take good care.
Yours in Christ,
Vonda Scipio

To the Proctor Family,
It's so hard to say good-bye to yesterday, but we know joy comes in the morning. There are no words I can say - that you haven't already heard - to ease your pain. But I will say this, "the world is merely a stage, and we are temporary actors in it. God does not make mistakes!" Know that Brother Proctor is in a better place and that he's spreading joy and wisdom to everyone he meets in Heaven, just like he did here on Earth. Heaven has a new Angel!
Embrace your memories, as he is with you always! Be strong and remain steadfast, for God is with you always!
Matthew and I send abundant prayers and blessings to you and your family.

To Jean and all of Brother Proctor's loved ones, God has given you a great gift. One, a wonderous and great measure of a man called "Butch" to love, grace and embrace your lives. Two, wonderful memories and a legacy of greatness to learn and live by. Hold on to God's Unchanging Hands because, through Brother Proctor, God gave you something that the world didn't give you and the world can't take it away. Rest in peace, Brother Proctor, for you are at Home, with one of the best seats in the House.
