Frances Hammond Obituary
Frances Elaine Wood-Hammond, age 99, completed her earthly journey on July 25, 2025, with her loving daughter Donna by her side. Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband Benjamin G. Hammond Jr. and daughter, Barbara. She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted children, Donna and Maurice Hammond, Sr.; Her siblings, Patricia Wood, Brenda Kahari, Donald Wood, Robert Wood, and Diane Johnson; A combined fifty-two (52) grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of extended family members who will continue to honor her legacy.
A celebration of Frances' life will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2020 St. Joseph Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774.
Viewing: 10 to 11 a.m.
Funeral Mass: 11 a.m.
Burial: Resurrection Cemetery: 2 p.m.
