On Thursday, November 2, 2006. Survived by his wife, Janie Strother; one son, Frederick Strother, Jr; four sisters and two brothers. Vistation 10 a.m. Service 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 8 at Henry S. Washington & Sons Funeral Home, 4925 Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave., NE. Interment Locust Grove Baptist Church, Radiant, VA.

Fred, I want to extend my sympathy to you and your family. I remember the first time I met your father. He struck me, at 16, as a gentleman in the truest sense.
