GARY KOENIG  
Gary D. Koenig, of Greenbackville, Virginia and formerly of Rockville, Maryland, born on October 28, 1959 in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late Lois M. Koenig and the late G. Donald Koenig, passed away at age 58 on June 23, 2018 in Salisbury, Maryland. He attended Rockville High School. Gary served in the Navy and he also worked in the Custom Floor Coverings industry as a master flooring designer at Rugsenmore LLC until he retired in 2012. Gary was preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis Koenig and Steven Koenig; and sister, Karen Koenig Trimble. He is survived by his brother, Bradley Koenig; sister-in-law, Deborah Koenig; nephews, Andrew Koenig, B. Scott Koenig Jr. (Allison), and Christopher Koenig, and niece, Natalie Koenig Macintosh (Wesley); great nephew's Brayden and Owen, and great niece Cassidy. Gary's hobbies included golf, scuba diving, world traveler, medieval history enthusiast, Facebook politician, and die hard Redskin fan. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gary's name to National Kidney Foundation. Gary was a wonderful man and was loved by all who were blessed to know him. We will miss him every day of our lives. May you rest in peace, my brother. Friends and family are welcome to attend the celebration of life service on Sunday, July 29 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Glenview Mansion at Rockville Civic Center, 603 Edmonston Drive, Rockville, Maryland, 20851.
