GEORGE BURSENOS Obituary
GEORGE CHRISTOPHER BURSENOS
Was the beloved son of Christopher James and Maria Ioannou Bursenos; beloved brother of Joanna Christopher and Demetrios Christopher Bursenos; and proud uncle of Christopher David Meadows. He was also a loving grandson, nephew, cousin, and a truly loyal friend to many. He was born on April 10, 1987 and departed on May 15, 2013, as a result of complications from a life long battle with congenital heart disease. George C. Bursenos was the rock, glue, and source of happiness for many. He was a constant reminder of the true meaning of life and what it meant to be alive. May his memory be eternal. His viewing will be held Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jefferson Funeral Chapel in Alexandria, VA. The church service will be at St. Katherine's Greek Orthodox Church in Falls Church, on Sunday, May 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in George Bursenos' name, to Children's National Medical Center of Washington, DC, Cardiology.

I am so sorry for your loss. Gretchen and Sherry made sure that I heard your sad news. I wish I could join you in remembering George today but I will always remember him as a very special child with a smile on his face. I still remember to this day when he helped me pick out the flowers for my wedding when he could barely reach the counter at the florist shop. You all will be in my prayers.
