GERALD FRANCIS KOTWAS (Age 75)  
Of Leisure World, Leesburg, VA passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013, in Ashburn, VA."Jerry" was born on Tuesday, January 18, 1938 in Rochester, New York. He was a son of the late Alphonse Sylvester Kotwas and the late Ann Mykins Kotwas. Jerry worked for the US government for 33 years until his retirement as Deputy Chief of Foreign Trade. He enjoyed many overseas assignments including living in Afghanistan and Africa with his family. His hobbies included golf, football but mostly spending time with his loving wife, their children and grandchildren and he cherished a special bond with each of them. He leaves his beloved wife of over 50 years, Kathryn Enright Kotwas of Leesburg; five children, Larry and Cammie Kotwas of Ashburn, VA, Kenny and Jill Kotwas of Waldorf, MD and Mark and Kelly Kotwas of Leesburg, VA, daughters, Lisa and Arnie Lucius of Holly Springs, NC and Jennifer and Lee Blakeman of Alexandria, VA; loving grandfather of Heather and Edward Wu, Daniel Kotwas, Kenneth and Michelle Kotwas, Carly Kotwas, Michelle Kotwas, Kevin Kotwas, Kate Kotwas, Sean Lucius, Scott Kotwas, Cole Lucius, and Alex Lucius; and his brothers, Kenny and Marie Kotwas, and Richie and Rita Kotwas, all of Rochester, NY.Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, February 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, S.E., Leesburg, VA 20175 A funeral service will be on Friday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church located at 55 Oak Crest Manor Leesburg, Virginia 20176.Interment will follow in Leesburg Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Special Olympics, 215 Depot Court, SE, 2nd floor Leesburg, VA 20175, and/or to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2000 L Street, NW, Suite 415, Washington, DC 20036.Please share online condolences with the family at:www.loudounfuneralchapel.com
