She was the best neighbor and friend in the world, to me and my mother Geraldine Slaughter (Hawaii Ave. NE). Mrs. Epps' kindnesses towards my mother will never be forgotten. To the Epps family, I am truly sorry for your loss. She always talked about her love and pride for you. I loved listening to her talk about her travels and especially her church. She always included my mother and other neighborhood friends in family cook-outs during holidays and any time she wanted to celebrate life. I miss her but I have my fond memories. She was a beautiful lady and I feel so blessed to have known her. Much love, Adrienne Slaughter-Woodbridge, VA

Rest in peace Mama. I will always remember the fun times we had together. Target, Ihop, nail salon, mall, and more!!! I ALWAYS remember the laughs and jokes we had. Especially the joke you said "I'm not your grandma, I'm your mother". You were the sweetest grandma and the ONLY grandma that I knew and met. You would take me and Casey to the pool and you would not stop talking about your girl, Eliana. You would call me Supergirl and pigmouth and you would call Eden mosquito. You would always be in my mind for as long and my life goes. Even if my mind goes blank, your mini self would be standing there in my blank mind talking to me giving advice and helping me to live my life. I will always remember Grandparents day at school and how we made our last craft together as one. I also liked how I got to ask you all those questions about you life before me. Always keep me in your mind up there in heaven. You were so kind that Eliana said that you were like her 2nd grandma. Love you and I will always know that the two people I loved very VERY MUCH is reunited again. Love you so much..
Love,
Supergirl (aka Dajah)
P.S-Eden said that she misses you and she's praying for you
