Glenn Mayer Obituary



MAYER GLENN W. MAYER, Lt. Col. U.S. AirForce (Ret.) Of Alexandria, VA died on Saturday, August 22, 2009. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia Belt Mayer. Loving father of Barbara A. McCollum and her husband Tom, Robert G. Mayer and his wife BettyAnn and John T.B. Mayer. Devoted grandfather of David and Peter Fiorillo, Kevin R. Mayer and Kristen E. Krowe. Adoring great-grandfather of Alex, Abby, Auggie and Benjamin. He is also survived by his companion Betty Erickson. Friends may call at the DEMAINE FUNERAL HOME, 520 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 where the family will be present on Thursday August 27 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A celebration of his life will be offered on Friday, August 28 at 11 a.m. at Washington Farms United Methodist Church, 3921 Old Mill Road, Alexandria, VA 22309. Interment with Full Military Honors will take place on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Arlington National Cemetery.
