Grayson W. Hanes
Of Herndon, Virginia died suddenly on August 31, 2021. Son of Grayson S. Hanes and Dana S. Hanes. Brother of Harrison W. Hanes and Elizabeth H. Hanes. Nephew of Chad F. Hanes, Chip Streeter and Julie Streeter. Grandfather Grayson P. Hanes, He was predeceased by grandparents, Esther M. Hanes, George Streeter and Marie Streeter. Grayson was deeply committed to his many friends and the brotherhood at The Landon School. He was passionate about lacrosse, enjoyed rugby and Alabama football. He especially enjoyed his time hiking with his dog Cooper and being outdoors. In his leisure time, he had a desire for knowledge, enjoyed reading, and playing video games with his many friends. Grayson was passionate, loving, and caring of his family and siblings, Harrison and Elizabeth. His favorite times were with his brother Harrison and sister Elizabeth. He will be missed by many and loved by all. A celebration of life ceremony will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Landon School: 6101 Wilson Lane, Bethesda, Maryland 20817 (www.landon.net).

He was a tremendous man and terrific man. I cherished every moment. Grayson set the tone for kindness and presence. He was the type of guy you wanted to call on a bad day because you knew he would make you laugh. His light and energy were contagious and had profound impact on everyone around him. His legacy is eternal
