HENRY STEPHEN DEWHURST
On Tuesday, July 12, 2011 of Falls Church, VA. Beloved husband of the late Jeanne Dewhurst; devoted father of Stephen B. Dewhurst and his wife Miriam, Gordon G. Dewhurst and his wife Nancy, Claudia J. Foster and her late husband Dennis. Also survived by his grandchildren, Brian D. Dewhurst and his wife Lauren, Stephen G. Dewhurst and his fiancee Laura, and his great-grandson David S. Dewhurst and his sisters, Marion Schmitt and Grace Johnson. Stephen Dewhurst was a longtime resident of Falls Church, VA and a longtime member of St. James Parish. He was an executive of the Association of American Railroads. He was also an accomplished poet of light verse with over 5,000 poems published in over 200 journals and magazines between 1936-2006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. James Catholic Church 103 N. Spring st. Falls Church, VA 22046 on Monday, July 18 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Fairfax Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. James Catholic Church. Arrangements by MURPHY FALLS CHURCH FUNERAL HOME.
