Dear Trumble Family-
I had the honor to have worked for Tommy in both uniform and as a Detective in the narcotics unit at the A.C.P.D. He was a great supervisor and an even better friend - he was a "cop's cop."
Our deepest condolences to the Trumble family.

Dear Trumble Family, Sadly, I never worked directly with Sergeant Trumble during all my years at ACPD, but have fond memories of those times we did have cause to interact. He joins a group of wonderful ACPD folks in Heaven. May your faith carry you through these sad times. We will all always remember him lovingly.

Tommy and family
Our deepest condolences to you and family. I was just visiting with your Dad at the antique car show, on Sunday, at Shenandoah University a couple of weeks ago, and we talked and reminisced about our good old Arlington days, and what a different life we live out here on farms and not being crowded with houses too close to us. We will miss him as a good friend and neighbor.

I have great memories of traveling from North Carolina to Falls Church as a child. It was always a treat to visit the "big city" since we were living in a small town at that time. I always had a good time visiting with Tom, Josie and Red, Johnny, Vera, and all the children. I remember not wanting to go home at the end of each visit. I really regret that I could not come up from NC for the funeral. I have had all of the family in my thoughts since I learned of Tom's passing.

May 12, 2016

"Big Tommy" was a big part of my childhood. His brother Johnny was my brother in-law, and they were both like big brothers to us more than anything else. And Tommy became more like a father than an Uncle to Jamey and Jennifer over the years. A The whole Trumble family was an extension of our family, and the road up and down Van Buren St. was well traveled as we biked back and forth. My sisters and I babysat all the Trumble children. Our families and neighborhood was one big family, and we were always felt safe looking out for each other. Miss those times and that security brought on by these men who carried about us all. Memories live in our hearts and are never to be forgotten. Our sympathy to "Little Tommy", Vera, and the Trumble family.

What a character Tommy Senior was! We were next door neighbors for over 2 decades and we were so lucky. His laugh was a joy to hear. Happily, his son, Tommy and Tommy's wife, Chantal live next door now - you couldn't ask for better neighbors. We'll miss you, Tommy.
Cheers!

Tom was our VA friend when visiting our sister Christina, he always had time to help others. He taught my grandchildren how to shoot, fish and drive his Gator, could and did fix anything and even presided over our faux shotgun wedding (he held the shotgun). He will be missed greatly by us and anyone who knew him, RIP my friend.

Dear Tommy and Chantal,
We are so sorry to hear of Henry's passing. The King's have some wonderful memories of your dad at various Trumble celebrations and also during visits to the Winchester farm. May your thoughts, memories of time spent with him bring you some comfort. We will always remember what a great father, step-father, grandfather and friend he was to all.

Tom and I worked together while I was with the Arlington PD in the early 70's. He was a good, dependable friend with a great personality...i'll never forget his laugh. We enjoyed social times together, particularly watching Redskins games on TV. He rooted for the 'Skins but his heart was with the Packers. I'll miss him.
My condolences to Tommy's family.

Tom welcomed me a newcomer to our area as a loving and very caring friend. He took time with my son Chad who lost his father early in life. He never hunted before and Tom took time out to give him some tips to finding that big buck. Chad and I hold a special place in our hearts for such a special friend forever. We will miss him tremendously but always smile when we think of him. What a life he shared with us!!! God Bless Mr. Tom whom I refered to as Boss!! He always chuckled at that! I will miss seeing him in that green gator rolling across the hill. As long as I am here I will maintain that path up the hill and refer to it as Tom's Path. Usually he was coming to help me or Christina with something. I am so thankful for such a buddy!
