HOWARD EISNER
On Thursday, September 29, 2022, HOWARD EISNER of Bethesda, MD. Beloved husband of June Linowitz. Devoted father of Oren (Tara Burke) Eisner, Susan (Joseph) Lee and the late Seth Eisner and former father-in-law of Melissa Handler. Loving grandfather of Ben and Zachary Eisner, Gabriel and R. Lee and Jacob Eisner, dear brother of the late Mel Eisner. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, 1 p.m. at Judean Memorial Gardens Chapel, Olney, MD, with interment following. Memorial contributions may be made to Am Kolel or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to TORCHINSKY HEBREW FUNERAL HOME, 202-541-1001.

It´s been almost a year since I had a strange feeling about Professor Eisner not answering an email and later came across his obituary. I´ll be forever grateful for the impact he had on my life and his contribution to one of my biggest accomplishments. I still feel very lucky to have known him.

After many years Howie and I reconnected and were finally going to meet a few weeks prior to his death. I was unsuccessful in trying to reach him and had an awful feeling that he had passed. We worked together at ORI where I was so fortunate to know him. I admired his talent, personality and ability to add so much to the executive team that made ORI successful. My sincere condolences to June for making his life full and the family he was so loved and was so proud of.
