To The Pulley Family:
Throughout this sad time, please accept our sincere sympathy and prayerful support. During my 1982-1991, USMS W/D/VA tenure, Herb assisted with District special assignments. I well remember Herb as a special person (sincere, caring, conscientious, gentlemanly), but above all, Herb was the epitome of a Deputy U.S. Marshal. I always looked forward to Herb's gracious and professional company.

Ms. Val,
I am so disheartened by the loss of Mr. Pulley. My husband and I were disappointed that we didn't get the chance to see him prior to his passing. We brought my dad (WT Johnson) back to Maryland and stopped by to say hello. Unfortunately, you guys weren't home because Mr. Pulley had entered the hospital. Please know our know my prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I also had the honor of working with Mr. Pulley at the US District Court. I was a new Deputy and Hubert took me under his wing. He was always willing to help a young Deputy and I thank him for that. He will be missed.

I had the honor of working with Herb in the USMS when I was assigned to the Superior Court District. He was always uplifting with a kind word and a smile. He had the respect of management and rookie deputies and will not be forgotten. May his family know God's peace in this difficult time.

I remember Mr Pulley very well from my years working with the U.S. Marshals. I was a new recruit and he helped guide me through the early processes. Always professional; kind, and a honest to God hard working man who loved his family, his country;a man of faith.
