Jack Minker
On April 9, 2021, Jack Minker of Bethesda Maryland, beloved husband of Johanna Weinstein, former husband of the late Rita G. Minker, devoted father of Michael Minker (husband of Katharine (nee Cowgill) Minker) and the late Sally Minker (late wife of Jason Carucci), cherished grandfather of Roger Carucci, Beverly Minker and Katie Minker, great grandfather of Charlotte, Naomi and Olivia Minker, step-father of Lawrence, Charles, Steven and Kenneth Weinstein, and loving uncle, great uncle, step-grandfather and friend to many others. Graveside services will be held at 2: p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, VA, and may be viewed on Zoom: https://cloud4good.tfaforms.net/388675?eventid=7011M000001BsOw.The family will be sitting Shiva on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, beginning at 5 p.m. with services at 7:30 p.m. To register for Shiva and receive the Zoom link go to: https://cloud4good.tfaforms.net/388675?eventid=7011M000001BsP6. I've known Uncle Jack all my life and probably before. He was always a very dear man. Although he was a computer scientist and therefore very rational, he was also deeply emotional and had a big heart. Uncle Jack's birthday is July 4th and I will always remember celebrating the country's birthday as secondary to celebrating Uncle Jack's special day. He is and was a firecracker. I will always have fond and loving memories of him, Aunt Rita, and cousin Sally. Thankfully, I still have Jason, Roger, Michael and all of Michael's family to continue to honor Uncle Jack's loving legacy. May peace be with all of us who mourn his passing and also celebrate his fruitful and amazing 93 years young. xo

While I mourn the loss of an old friend , I find comfort in considering the
body of work he leaves be hind as a scientist and educator . M y condolences to his family and to everyone whose life he touched . Farewell old friend , R.I.P
