James R. Brantley (Age 70)

On Friday, March 11, 2022, of Kensington, MD. Born in Chicago, IL, Jim was a graduate of Washington High School in East Chicago, IN, of Indiana University in Bloomington with a double major in criminal justice and journalism, and of the University of Maryland at College Park where he received a Masters Degree in criminal justice. After working for many years at the National Criminal Justice Reference Service (Aspen Systems Corp), he rediscovered his passion for photography, and in addition to working as a freelance photographer for the remainder of his career, he put in 15 years as a photographer for the Washington Times newspaper. Jim also acted in local community theaters for many years. Jim is survived by his beloved companion Christine Lundy, his sister Janet Cooper, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Interment Private. Memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery County Humane Society.

So very sorry to hear of James“ death. He was truly loved by his East Chicago Washington classmates. He came to every Class Reunion with that big smile and warm hug. We will truly miss him.
