On Saturday August 25, 2018, James Joseph Keenan of Rockville, MD. Beloved husband of the late Louise Eileen Keenan; loving father of Joyce Ann Ruckelshaus and her husband Gary, Madison, NJ, James Robert Keenan and his wife Carol, North Potomac, MD, Lori Louise Summers and her husband, Stephen, Millersville, MD and the late William R. and Thomas A. Keenan; father-in-law of Patti Keenan, Monroe, NC; adoring grandfather of Gary, Jill, Julie, Brian, James, Catherine, Kelly, Emily, Heather, Shawn, Courtney, Maura and Lindsey; great-grandfather of Matthew, Nicole, Kaitlyn, William, Katherine, Sydney, Jay and Casey; uncle of Rosemary, Jack, Donald and Patricia. The family will receive friends at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6701 Muncaster Mill Road, Derwood, MD 20855 on Thursday August 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area Chapter, 8180 Greenboro Drive, Suite 400, McLean, VA 22102.
