Our hearts were so sadden to hear of Jim's passing. Both my husband and I were in high school with Jim and have so many fond memories of winter sledding with his father driving us around town, hanging out at the Range's home and always being so welcomed, and warm memories of Jim and his friends hunting. Jim had such a love of the outdoors and was always so much fun to be around. Even though we have not been in touch over the years, he has always been remembered in our hearts and thought of often. To his family - we are so sorry for you loss - God takes us when it is His time, hold tight to the warm memories and the love you have for Jim to help get you thru these rough times.

It was purely accidental that I saw this obituary, sent to me from a friend who was in Jimmy's high school class. He didn't know that Jimmy is my cousin and as kids we used to spend hours at Harry Range's house/farm, running Harry, Rita and Lee crazy. Those were some fun, fun times I will never forget. Jimmy was always passionate about life and you can tell that by his life's work. He was born to love and honor the outdoors sports.
I lost touch with him after he got out of Tulane and it is sad to know his life was taken much too soon.
My condolences to all the Ranges, especially Bud, Harry Garner, Gigi and all the cousins.

I KNEW JIMMY AS A KID IN JOHNSON CITY TENNESSEE. HE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE AND KID WORD FOR EVERYBODY.
