James Range

RANGE JAMES D. RANGE Of Washington, D.C. on January 20, 2009. Jim is survived by daughters Kimberly Range Truesdale and Allison Range, both of Arlington, VA.; his father Dr. James J. (Bud) Range of Johnson City, Tenn. and Marco Island, FL.; brothers Harry of Marietta, GA, John Neel of Braselton, GA and Peter of Richmond Hills, GA; and friend Anni Ince-McKillop of Washington, DC and her two children. Range was preceded in death by his mother, Estelle Range. At the time of his death, Range worked as senior policy advisor in the law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz and served as Chairman of the Board of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, an organization he co-founded in 2002. Range was one of the nation‘s most prominent champions of natural resource conservation and served on the boards of several conservation organizations. A memorial service is being held January 27 at 11:30 a.m. at the Boathouse at Fletcher‘s Cove 4940 Canal Road NW in Washington D.C. (please carpool) with a reception to follow at Praline restaurant 4611 Sangamore Road Bethesda, MD.
