SULLIVAN, DR. JAMES RICHARD
DR. JAMES RICHARD SULLIVAN of Silver Spring, MD and Rehoboth Beach, DE died at home March 1, 2004. Dr. Sullivan was born in Washington D.C. September 21, 1932. He graduated from Georgetown Prep in 1950. He attended George Washington and the University of Maryland. In 1957 he graduated top of his class from the University of Maryland Dental School. He served as a Lieutenant in the Naval Dental Corps, specializing in Endodontics. He opened a family dental practice in Silver Spring in 1959 and practiced dentistry until recently. An avid golfer he belonged to Manor Country Club, Rockville, MD and Kings Creek Country Club in Rehoboth Beach DE. He is survived by his wife of 50 years the former Joan Long; three children Dr. James E. Sullivan, Kelly Sullivan and Shawn Lattanzio and son-in-law John Lattanzio, three grandchildren Caitlyn, Matthew and Kathleen. Relatives and friends may call at COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, 500 University Blvd., West, Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday, March 3, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadettes Church, 72 University Blvd East, Silver Spring, MD on Thursday, March 4, at 10 a.m. Interment St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Holy Cross Homecare/Hospice, 9805 Dameron Dr., Silver Spring, MD 20902
